The first outpost of the casual-dining brand will open Nov. 19, 2020 (previews begin Oct. 29) outside of Atlanta in Alpharetta, Ga., with additional franchise locations coming soon to Boston, Washington, D.C., and other U.S. markets.

Inspired by the quintessential neighborhood pub, Taffer’s Tavern evokes traditional Old World taverns with a warm, inviting, comfortable ambiance. The design is distinguished by dark woods, soft leathers, and copper accents. Taffer is looking to make the restaurants each community’s Third Place.

“Taffer’s Tavern truly reimagines the modern restaurant, with an emphasis on comfort and trust that spans from the ambiance to the food to the peace of mind that patrons will feel from our dedication to people’s safety,” says Jon Taffer.

The restaurant features a “kitchen of the future” and the latest food prep/service technology. Taffer’s Safe Dining System, a standard for the restaurant industry, includes hand-scanning detection technology to monitor every hand wash for contaminates, advanced glass cleaning technology for all drinkware, and reduced contact through department separation. Protocols for a no-contact, third-party order pickup system eliminate the need for delivery drivers to come inside, while the meal prep technology ensures that food is minimally touched to prevent cross-contamination.

To facilitate growth for the emerging brand, Taffer has partnered with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind Five Guys Burgers and Fries and QDOBA Mexican Grill. Within months of announcing the concept, Taffer secured three multiunit franchisee agreements in the Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Boston areas. He is seeking experienced franchisees to continue bringing the concept to the 50 largest media markets throughout North America.
